E-File Cases

By filing electronically, the court system has become more efficient and accessible. In addition to dramatically reducing paperwork in Florida’s courts, the portal allows for immediate access to case information and the ability to work remotely.

Attorneys are required by law to file or record documents electronically.   If you wish to represent yourself in civil or family court without an attorney, you may file online or in person.

If you are representing yourself in court without an attorney, you may file civil or family cases through the E-Filing Portal.

  • First, you must obtain the correct court forms required for your case.
  • Download department forms.
  • Once you have obtained your form, you must fill it out and save it as a PDF.
  • To E-file your form, visit the Florida Courts E-Filing Portal. You must register if you do not have an account.
  • Instructional videos are available on the Florida Courts E-Filing YouTube Channel. E-filing manuals are available on the E-Filing Portal. You may also call the E-filing Portal Help at 850-577-4609.
  • Please note that as a (non-attorney) member of the public, you are not required to E-File. You may still file in person at the Clerk's office.
