As the county’s Chief Financial Officer, Treasurer and Auditor, the Clerk produces annual reports on the county’s revenue and spending. The Clerk also manages the county’s investment portfolio and produces quarterly reports on investments. The investments help ease the tax burden on citizens in future years.
The Citizen Report: Your Practical Guide to County Finances
The Citizen Report, also called the Popular Annual Financial Report or PAFR, is an easy-to-read publication that provides citizens with an overview of how their tax dollars are managed and spent. The guide includes highlights and simplified information from the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report.
The annual guide has earned the Award for Outstanding Achievement in Popular Annual Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) since its inception in 2010.
