Clerk's office with orange windows at night FORT PIERCE, FLA. (Aug. 31, 2021) The St. Lucie Clerk and Comptroller's office is proud to answer Treasure Coast Food Bank's call to light up orange for Hunger Action Month this September.

"Hunger Action Month spotlights the heartbreaking choices families in our community are facing each day and how we can each be part of the solution," said Clerk Michelle R. Miller. "When you support organizations like Treasure Coast Food Bank, you are helping to provide nutrition education to local kids, healthy food options for seniors, Veteran's outreach, and even emergency pet food assistance."

Each night in September, look for the St. Lucie Clerk's office in Downtown Fort Pierce glowing orange to shine a light on hunger. On September 17th, Deputy Clerks in Fort Pierce, St. Lucie West, and County Finance will "Go Orange" and dress to bring additional awareness to the importance of proper nutrition for children, adults, and seniors.
