St. Lucie Clerk announces driver license reinstatement event, Operation Green Light
FORT PIERCE, FLA. (Feb. 24, 2023) – Drivers with a suspended license may be eligible to get back on the road through the St. Lucie Clerk’s annual Operation Green Light event from March 15-19, 2023. Operation Green Light provides customers a chance to pay overdue court fees and traffic fines while saving the collection surcharge.
“For as little as $160, most customers can set up a payment plan and have their license reinstated,” said Clerk Michelle Miller. “Last year over 1,000 St. Lucie County residents participated in Operation Green Light, and we hope to help even more in 2023.”
During Operation Green Light, Deputy Clerks in the St. Lucie West and downtown Fort Pierce locations are available to assist customers in person March 15-17 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with evening appointments available via zoom from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, March 17. Customers may also participate online at any time throughout the 5-day event.
In most traffic cases, the Clerk’s office can reinstate the driver’s license the same day fines are paid. Other eligible drivers can schedule an appointment with any Florida County Tax Collector to complete the reinstatement process.
