St. Lucie Clerk announces over $535k in unclaimed funds waiting for rightful owners

(Mar. 1, 2023) – Businesses and individuals can search a list to see if they are due unclaimed monies from the St. Lucie Clerk’s office starting March 1, 2023. The amounts waiting to be claimed range from $1.43 all the way up to $124,013.52 and can be easily viewed on the Clerk’s website.

“It’s quick and easy to check to see if there are funds in your name waiting to be claimed,” said Michelle R. Miller, St. Lucie County Clerk and Comptroller. “Regardless of the amount, we want to get these funds to their rightful owners.”

The 173 businesses and individuals who are collectively owed $535,190.23 include parties to tax deed cases, garnishment deposits, or overpayments on recorded documents, such as mortgages and deeds.

To see if you are owed unclaimed funds, search the list at stlucieclerk.gov/unclaimed. Instructions on how to submit a claim are available on the website, and after a request is validated, a new check will be mailed to the verified address. Completed claim forms must be postmarked on or before Mar. 31, 2023.
